The Sporades Islands are situated northeastern of Evia Island and southeastern of Pilion peninsula.

The complex consists of eleven islands but only 4 of them are inhabited: Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skyros.

All of them are rich with green pine forests and white sandy beaches. Many of their beaches have been awarded the European Blue Flag which confirm they are among the cleanest beaches in Europe. The surrounding area is excellent for sailing because it provides many protected coves and islets.

You can reach Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos from the port of Agios Konstantinos and the city of Volos (ferries and hydrofoils) and Skyros from the port of Kymi (Evia Island). There are also flights to Skiathos and to Skyros from Athens (Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Spata).
