The atmosphere here is magical: birdsongs, fruit orchards where you can pick your own apples, figs, grapes, mandarins, and oranges, wonderful colour and light. At just 3-5 minutes' walk from the Kardamili main street, and with numerous other commendable features, Papanestoras comes highly recommended for those who love traditional Greek lodgings.
Guestrooms
Set like two small silver-emerald jewels in the hillside olive grove, the two main guesthouses have 6 lodgings to choose from: 3 spacious apartments and 3 large studios. Each open-plan apartment/studio has its own fully-kitted kitchen (with cooker and fridge), bathroom (with shower), private furnished veranda, air-conditioning and TV.
The interior decor is a perfect combination of modern/traditional, with stone walls, contemporary wood furniture and tasteful lighting; the layouts are clean and uncluttered, creating an ambience which is relaxing and warm. Spotless, airy and inviting, couples and small families will feel completely at home in these apartments and studios that offer peace, privacy and good taste. Extra beds are available for larger families.
Features
Papanestoras has its own driveway with ample private parking, but if you prefer walking, this accommodation is conveniently close (5 minutes) to many of Kardamili's best spots: the harbour, the village centre, Old Kardamili... And if you're partial to hiking, the paths to Petrovouni and Viros Gorge are also nearby. Telephone/fax and Internet facilities are available in the reception area, and next year a swimming pool will be built between the two guesthouses for total relaxation at home as well as at the beach. Mr. Papanestoras speaks good English, and he is a very nice man who does his utmost to go the extra mile for his visitors. He is adored and respected by guests who return year after year. You will not be disappointed.
